Tick Tock!

“Dear Time Machine, take me to the year 2012, 19th March — 24 hours before my final exam at college which I wasted playing instead of studying enough"

BOOM!💥 I got there.

Plenty of time to study again but before I could utilize that precious time and study, my mother woke me up from a dream where I was flying in a time machine, just to fix those moments I now regret wasting.

Lost time, my friends, is never found again. woefully, time machines only exist in our fantasies. Each one of us gets an equal amount of 1440 minutes a day. Its up to us how we bring it into the play.

There’s a famous Chinese proverb:

So keeping the value of time, we need to be as productive as possible to achieve our goals. However, human beings are easily captivated and distracted by leisure so they often end up procrastinating and failing to complete their tasks on time which in turn leads to a life full of frustrations and regrets.

Here’s a possible resolution to that — THE POMODORO TECHNIQUE

All you have to do is set up a timer for 25 minutes and focus on your task, avoiding any distractions at all. Once the timer stops you can have a short break for 5 mins, perhaps treat yourself with anything like a candy or chocolate and then start over until you complete your whole task.

I had a chance to try out this technique in one of my projects assigned by Amal Academy and believe me, It’s one of the best time management methods. It helps you stay focused on your task and perform better since you work under a short deadline, your mind stays more concentrated and absorbed.

I’d been procrastinating to make this doodlers art work since a week. But gladly I was able to complete it in one and a half hour by following this technique. Here’s a link to the video i made while creating this:

It was a great experience trying this out. It helped me complete this in lesser time than usual and I definitely plan on to use this technique more often.

Lastly, I would like to share a quote from Stephen R. Covey which says:

Time is something we often take for granted but only a wise man understands it as an asset to be successful.

Lets just try to focus on being productive instead of busy. :)
